Adam Christopher Kendall was born on May 8, 1981

Adam Christopher Kendall was born on May 8, 1981, at 12:27 pm, in Canon City, CO. He was definitely in no hurry to get here and meet the world as he arrived 3 ½ weeks late. He was a happy baby, babbling up a storm by the age of 3 months and never quit talking or singing! Adam moved with his family to Ellsworth AFB SD when he was about 8 months old. He loved to use a stick, empty toilet paper rolls, or any other such item as a pretend microphone as he talked to his family and sang them songs. While other little kids were fascinated by big trucks such as garbage trucks and fire trucks, Adam was like ‘’ it’s okay’. He loved things that made computer type sounds and computer toys.

Adam loved music, ALL music! When he was young, he was really into classical music and taught his parents to also enjoy classical music. He started learning to play violin in the fourth grade. He said violin, not fiddle! He had no desire to play fiddle music whatsoever.

Adam was in the Rapid City Children’s Choir, a semiprofessional children’s choir, as a youth. They traveled to many different states in the US to perform and for competitions. At that time he was able to sing high soprano. They sang the National Anthem at the Chicago White Sox game, performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, at the Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs, CO, at the top of the Empire State Building, in New Yor City, and in the rotunda at the South Dakota State Capitol in Pierre, SD. They also performed a musical called Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. He performed in an all-boys choir at Rapid City High School. As a senior, he moved with his family back to Canon City, Co and was in a specialty choir called Encore.

Adam graduated from Canon City High School in 1998. After graduation, he worked as a photo lab tech for Wal-Mart. His Boss said: ‘’They always gave him the difficult people’’, because he was good with them. He held several other positions in CO. He then moved to Tucson, AZ and worked for Macy’s in the young men’s department for several years before moving back to Canon City, CO, to be with his family.

Adam moved to Arkansas in November 2018 and lived in Siloam Springs, AR. He began working at the University of Arkansas Medical Science in Fayetteville. He bought a home in Fayetteville and moved in one year ago. He was working at UAMS as an Education Coordinator for medical residents and medical students at the time of his death.

There were many facets to Adam, he LOVED cats! His two greatest loves have been his cats, Hollieberrie and Ezri. He liked unicorns, Hello Kitty, and the color pink, Dolly Parton, Bette Midler, Cher (he was able to see her in concert), Christina Aguilera, Madonna as well as many other artists. He loved to watch movies and musicals. He loved the Unsinkable Molly Brown with Debbie Reynolds, Hello Dolly, with Barbara Streisand, Moulin Rouge, and horror movies, comedies, Disney movies (Pollyanna and had several ‘’rainbow makers’ ‘as a child) and Adventures in Babysitting, He also loved the TV series’ ‘Bones’’. His idea of camping was the Hilton! He did however, do a lot of family campouts as a child. He loved to laugh and play video games, board games, Phase 10 and other card games, Aggravation, and ‘’Dice’’.

Adam was A ‘Trekkie;’. He knew so much about Star Trek, Voyager, Next Generation, Deep Space 9 and all the others. He probably could have beaten almost anyone in trivia contest. For his 21st birthday his parents took him to the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas. He got to encounter the Borg, Q, Klingons, and Ferengi.

Adam has numerous friends from his time in Rapid City, SD; Canon City and Colorado Springs, CO; Tucson, AZ; and Fayetteville, AR that he still kept in touch with up to the time of his death.
