Injuries happen almost regularly in wrestling. Some performers power through and continue working while others need to take an extended break and give their bodies time to heal. These wrestlers are currently injured, and fans are eagerly waiting for their returns.

CM Punk had not just one but two big wrestling returns in the last few years. The first one happened in All Elite Wrestling, where Punk’s run was overshadowed by his multiple injuries. He returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, and only a few months later, leading up to his first big storyline, Punk got injured again.

His left tricep was torn a few years back, and at Royal Rumble 2024, he got the other one injured. He’s continued his feud with Drew McIntyre and has even made several on-screen appearances. Punk’s return timeline was around 6-8 months from his injury, which means Money in the Bank at the earliest or around the SummerSlam month in August.

While Rhea Ripley has said she’s “coming back for blood,” when exactly is she even coming back? Ripley injured her shoulder during a segment with Liv Morgan on the April 8 edition of Raw. A week later, Ripley relinquished her Women’s World Championship. Bryan Alvarez said this kind of injury “takes 4-6 weeks to regain mobility and up to three months to be back ready to go.” (H/t GiveMeSports)

Charlotte Flair underwent knee surgery back in December 2023. The unfortunate injury took place during a match against Asuka, and Flair missed WrestleMania 40 as a result.

The Queen tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus, and the recovery time for this is pretty long. On Busted Open Radio, Ric Flair said that Charlotte wouldn’t be back before another nine months. This episode was aired in May, which means early 2025 is what we’re looking at.

“She’s so far ahead now in this rehab. But she just has to, you know, keep it in mind that she’s gotta follow Dr.’s dues and orders, and it’s got to be a nine-month recovery, no matter how good she feels… To be the athlete that she wants to be and do all these Corkscrew Moonsaults and stuff like that, she’s got to be at a hundred percent.” (H/T WrestlingInc)

She had surgery to repair her knees, and if all goes right, fans might see her step back into the ring by the end of this year.

She confirmed the injury through an Instagram post and said she’ll be on the sidelines for nine months, which sets her return timeline around November or early December.
