Position NotesCompensation commensurate with education and experience. Position Information
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Perform all job duties in a manner consistent with NCAA , conference and University rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Five years of college coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level.
A valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University’s insurance carrier.
Desired QualificationsAll QualificationsUnless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position DetailsPosition PurposeAdminister an educationally sound competitive softball program for female student-athletes, within the rules and policies of any conference Oakland University may enter and NCAA legislated guidelines, and within the assigned fiscal budget as allocated. Plan and implement all phases of a competitive national level NCAA Division I softball program, including student athlete recruitment & retention; scheduling, conducting practice sessions, conditioning programs, fundraising and public relations activities; scouting and game preparation. Administer a sound and productive recruiting program within the university policies. Provide assistance as necessary with the departmental fund raising and public relations programs. Perform other duties outside of those related to softball as assigned by the director.
