ScOoBy’s hint for doctors
If you like to level up the “first aid skill”. Read the “First Aid book” for the multiplier bonus. Get some tweezers, bandages, needle and thread and jump through a broken window repeatedly. Fastest and safest way to level the first aid skill atm.

ScOoBy’s hints for chefs / carpenters (you’ll not need the profession for it)
Put your food ingredients/carpentry stuff into storage boxes / fridges / freezers close to your hob / desired build, then you can prepare the food / build by pressing “B” within your crafting-menue directly. Moreover you’re able to use extra spices a.m. to improve the qualitiy of your food and to get extra side-effects.
ScOoBy’s hint for bookworms / faster leveling – XPboost
Seperate your book library from beginners to expert – each stage in a single bookcase – to get an extra XPboost after reading the actually required books in the right direction. Really useful if you died once and you have to level up quickly and specific again.
also check this to organize your library better:

ScOoBy’s hints for gathering wood effienctly
1. your occupation should be: Lumberjack
2. make sure that your future safe-house is close to a forest to reduce the wood logistics. And ensure that there’s already a huge wood fence to attach your walls. And use 8 planks for each window to secure them with barricades.
3. use a fireaxe and chop a lot of trees down (preliminary work)
4. rest sometimes
5. use 2 hiking bags or smth. similar to it. Wear one on your back and equip the other one as secondary. Now you can carry 2 logs in each backpack and additional 2-3 in your inventory.
6. deliver the logs directly to the required build-up-project.
ScOoBy’s 10 Quicktips for farming
1. Make sure there are 2 spaces between each crop plant. To prevent disease from spreading.
2. Only plant when it’s raining. (watering with the watering can)
3. 4 minium rain barrells.
4. Check them once every 1-2 days.
5. Get empty sand bags and a spade/shovel. Fill the empty sand bags with dirt. Put the dirt on a roof that you have access to. Use that to farm.
6. There are 7 crops in vanilla. Never use radishes (have little nutritional value) or strawberries (watering level limits are a pain). Cabbages, broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes, and carrots are the best for farming. Carrots -> most difficult due to water limit. Cabbages can be grown year round outdoors, with very little effort or work required to maintain them. Broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes are also good for indoor planting. (5 month, November-March, requires oven or campfires as heat source). During the outdoor season between April-October, they can replace some of your outdoor cabbages. To be an effective gardener, you will need the following, trowel, shovel, lots of empty sacks (both to move dirt, and to make compost), a few watering cans, eventually some carpentry skills (to make compost bin for rotten food), seeds, gardening spray cans, milk, cigarettes. Potatoes and cabbage are really easy to farm.
7. LOTS OF WATER. (use the Drip irrigation farming (mod))
8. Never harvest until you can harvest the seeds too unless its an emergency.
9. Always water immediately after planting.
10. Make sure to have a good ratio of crop to water supply. What I mean by that is don’t plant 500 crops if you can only water 100 crops.

ScOoBy’s rules for scavenging
- Create different character profiles to handle your projects (f.e. LumberJack to gather logs etc.)
- Make a priority list of really required items before you expose yourself to a dangerouse loot-tour.
- Always run without equiped stuff in your hands to pass long distances faster! Use “1” button to equip your weapon quickly if it’s gettin’ hard (you’ll run so much faster)
- Always unequip your weapons with “1” to transfer stuff into containers faster.
- Never remove glass from windows without an equipped weapon in your hands! (you’ll bleed to death quickly)
- Avoid depressions, agitation or panick when you like to transfer stuff faster.
- Avoid panick and exhaustion when you fight against zombies (you’ll hit the zombies more exactly)
- Hold “STRG” and move your mouse out of your “display” to look farther
sneak close around zombies by holding STRG to skill lightfooded
don’t eat unkown foraged beeries. You’ll get sick soon! Read the The Herbalist[pzwiki.net] recipe magazine to identify them first. - Only shoot with guns to pull zombies away or in emergency cases.
- Stay cool towards strangers. Don’t shoot on sight. In PZ the people are almost always friendly.
- Use the shortcuts to act faster (f.e. “H” to toggle your health stats, or “V” to toggle ALL etc.)
…..to be continued.

2) afterwards check the red highlighted areas on this foraging-zone-map (by msarabi)[http//urlhttps] to find a good place for it. Foraging is only for certain areas. This areas have to be designated by the dev’s as foraging eligible. Actually not all “forest biomes” are implemented/recommended to forage inside of it.
3) OR try this: forage fix mod
