Samenvatting
In this study we analyse indoor irradiance for applications of indoor products integrated photovoltaic(IPIPV). With the results of this survey, industrial designers will be better informed about weak light conditions in indoor environments when developing PV products for indoor use. Measurements were conducted using a spectroradiometer by StellarNet. Two different test rooms were been chosen for indoor irradiance measurements at TU Delft and at Twente University. Measurements were conducted from March to June 2012. The irradiance measured on several positions in both rooms is a combination of natural light and artificial light irradiance. Three different positions of the sensor were been chosen for the measurements in each room. Different distances from windows and lamps used as the positions of the sensor. The goal of this study is to measure and define how indoor irradiance is changing as the distance of the sensor from the light sources is changing. The irradiance measured in all these positions in both rooms was lower than expected and also low for a PV product to function properly under these irradiance conditions.
