After using the Costco promo, got another one for 50% off max $45 grocery, Costco not included. Used it for Walmart.

I'd like to order something but need the option of returning it if it doesn't work out. With the deal obviously I would be out fees and tip, but if the Costco price is the refund amount it's basically a wash and no risk. Hoping someone has experience and can confirm that the refund isn't somehow impacted by the discount from this offer.
TIA
I don't believe you can make a return and receive a refund. I was given the receipt from the uber driver when I received my order. The receipt had my costco membership number, however, the payment was made using the drivers card. Even on the online receipt on the site is showing the same thing. If you decide to return anything the refund will be applied to the card used that is indicated on the costco receipt not what you used to pay UE app. If you do return it, I think it will be a pain and difficult to have uber customer service refund you even if you have prove you made a return.

It's interesting that some stranger can use your Costco number to buy something in person when they are stringent in not letting you use someone else's card, not even your significant other living at the same address. They typically check your photo everytime you pay. Since the driver dies not even have your Costco card, is this a loophole that anyone can just walk in and pretend to be an Uber driver and make purchases without a membership?

For those that received the promotion, did the promotion pop up after membership card was entered in the Uber eats app?

I got the promo prior to putting in my Costco number. And i also got the max 45 spend min 70 which i used on Walmart. The Costco that i defaulted to and couldnt change (probably the only one that was accepting the promo) was the Islington one and im in Scarb. So poor guy drove from one end of the city to the other end. Gave him a great tip though.

I got this promo again after using it a couple weeks ago. Really solid deal, and you can also pay with your Amex Cobalt if you have one which makes it even sweeter.

Afternoon everyone,
Double check your credit card is accurate in Uber before placing your order. There was a bug where Uber would randomly not charge my primary CC on file and would pick one at random. (There was a CC from years ago)
Of course the glitch happened when it was redeeming a promo. The promo was originally applied. But after they billed the wrong CC, they magically removed it (I ended up removing the expired CC info afterwards).
Support at the time would not accept a screenshot of the promo either, they only would accept an email.
Uber support kept insisting I forward them an email (that doesn't exist as it's in app)
Screenshot. Everything.

Hmm.. I'm thinking that maybe Uber (and Instacart, they do the same thing) have a special section of their app with your membership number and info that they have to show the cashier before checking out. That would make sense, no? Especially so, when you give consent to Uber to share info with Costco and vice versa.
Or are you just trying to think up a way to scam using someone else's membership?
Ron.

i have my own membership, no need to scam anyone; but there's plenty of people who would gladly do so.

I would assume they have costco cards now. Perhaps one of the drivers could tell us for sure.

I got the promotion, then it prompted me for my Costco membership number, as soon as I entered it, and re-freshed the page, the 50% discount disappeared.
Can't get it back. Total waste of time.
