Where to Meet the Princesses in Disney World (2024)

Wondering where to meet Disney Princess at Walt Disney World? Here’s everything you need to know to find princesses and royal decree-worthy facts to make your meet even more magical.

Princesses at Walt Disney World don’t just hang out in castles wearing tiaras, they have sidekicks, summer homes, and snacks. You can meet princesses at character meals, sometimes they have custom portraits and one helped inspire an entire fashion trend.

When planning your trip to Walt Disney World, make sure a visit to at least one princess is on the list. My favorite is to head to EPCOT and see the princesses in the countries of their stories of origin.

We’re giving you all the info on where to meet the Disney Princesses in Disney World, along with some facts you may not know about each one. There are 13 official Disney Princesses: Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Merida, Moana, Mulan, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Raya, Snow White, and (my favorite) Tiana. Learn more about each of the princesses and the ladies who are NOT on the official list.

Shockingly, Elsa and Anna are not officially on the list of Disney Princesses, though they have their whole own Frozen franchise. But, we’ve included them here so you have one place for your royalty fix.

Where to Meet Ariel

There are multiple places to become part of Ariel’s world in Disney World. First is meeting Ariel under the sea at her grotto in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Plus, Ariel has got her legs and also is meeting guests on the terrace of Prince Eric’s castle in Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney Presents. This Ariel is based on the live-action film released in 2023.

Princess Ariel has gotten out her dinglehopper and is dressed up in her ballgown when visiting the character meals at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom or Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus in EPCOT.The princesses at these meals can change. Check with the Cast Member when checking in which princesses are in residence.

Flipping-your-fin-worthy Facts: When visiting Ariel from the live-action film at Hollywood Studios, ask her to show you where her friends are cleverly hidden in the embroidery on her dress.

Where to Meet Aurora

When we think princesses we think castles and Fantasyland… so, Magic Kingdom right?

Surprisingly EPCOT’s World Showcase is worth a visit to find royalty. Not one, not two, but seven ladies on this list have a character meet in EPCOT – Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Mulan, Elsa, and Anna. Princess Aurora has a character meet in the France Pavilion at EPCOT. It’s sometimes in the gazebo but has moved around.

Dreamy Fact: During the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, Princess Aurora has a beautiful portrait in her character meet area. The fairies were arguing about making the portrait blue and pink, just like Aurora’s dress. The portrait was signed by Flora but then Merryweather crossed that out and signed her name.

Where to Meet Belle

Belle is one of only a few characters that can be seen in two different outfits. In the EPCOT France Pavilion Belle has a dreamy far far-off look as Provincial Belle, similar to her outfit when she is still in the village.

When Belle is at the character meals at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom and Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus in EPCOT, Belle is wearing her yellow ballgown.

Tip: Just like any character meal, sometimes the characters do change at Princess Storybook Dining. Make sure to ask when checking in for your meal which characters are greeting during the character meal.

If you love your villains, definitely meet Drizella and Anastasia at Magic Kingdom, who you’ll occasionally find hanging outside Cinderella Castle. You can also find Cinderella, Lady Tremaine, the wicked stepsisters, and more scenes from the film in the Cinderella Castle Murals. Check out the history and more fun facts on the mural here

Where to Meet Elsa and Anna

Elsa and Anna have an entire Royal Sommerhus for their character meeting in the Norway pavilion at EPCOT. This location is bursting with amazing details and memorabilia from Elsa and Anna’s childhood. Imagineer Zach Riddley shared a few of the items on his Instagram.

Big-summer-blowout-worthy Facts: At least once, make sure to wait in the queue of Frozen Ever After at EPCOT. Hang out in the area of Wandering Oaken’s Trading post that has the sauna door. You’ll hear Oaken and see him in the small steamy window. He also likes to draw his favorite snowman.

Where to Meet Jasmine

Jasmine is another princess that has two meets. She is in the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT.Jasmine is also in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom and meets with Prince Aladdin.

A Whole New…Fact: When meeting Jasmine and Aladdin, try and arrive early before they do. You may see them wandering through the shopping area on the way to their character meet location. Ask Aladdin if Jasmine likes to shop.

Where to Meet Merida

Sadly Merida no longer has a regular character meet in Walt Disney World. She used to practice her bow-wielding stance surrounded by artifacts from the Clan DunBroch in the Fairytale Garden in Magic Kingdom. Now another M-name character, Mirabel, is meeting guests in that area.

Fate-changing Fact: See Merida in the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom. The Brave float is one of the best! See if you can spot Merida’s bear cub brothers wrestling on the float.

Where to Meet Moana

It took about seven years for Moana to get a regular character meet at Walt Disney World and now she has two!Moana meets at EPCOT outside the Journey of Water attraction and over at Animal Kingdom in the Discovery Island Character Landing area.

Wayfinding-worth Facts: At the Journey of Water attraction at EPCOT you will get to feel like Moana and control water. We have princess boat rides, roller coasters, and restaurants but this is the first attraction that you’re getting to be that princess. It would be like getting to deep fry beignets with Tiana or wielding a frying pan with Rapunzel!

According to a Cast Member, there are 16-18 character-inspired rock formations within Journey of Water. Keep your eyes peeled for Pua, Maui’s hook, and more. Can you find them all?

Where to Meet Mulan

Mulan meets in the China pavilion at EPCOT. Her location moves around a bit, based on the weather. Sometimes it is right outside Reflections of China with the beautiful ornate red building and trees as a photo backdrop. When it is chillier, Mulan will move indoors to the Great Hall of China.

Fact Worth Fighting For: During the EPCOT Festival of the Arts Mulan has a portrait by Mushu. It is my favorite of all the portraits and looks as if Mushu has burned an image of Mulan into wood.

Where to Meet Pocahontas

Pocahontas has been exploring and will sometimes meet guests in Animal Kingdom down one of the Discovery Island Trails. This character meeting can come and go and is especially impacted by the weather. Check the My Disney Experience App or ask a Cast Member if Pocahontas will be around.

Forest Friend Fact: Pocahontas will sometimes meet with Meeko. We don’t often get to see the princess in her dress with her animal sidekick.

Where to Meet Raya

The newest Disney Princess, Raya sadly does not currently have a meet at Walt Disney World.

Film Release Fact: For the release of Raya and the Last Dragon in March of 2021, Animal Kingdom had a 40-ton sand sculpture that emulated Raya, Tuk Tuk, Sisu, and the Ongi, all set in the fantasy world of Kumandra. In February of 2021, guests at Animal Kingdom could watch the two artists work to complete the sculpture and now you can watch a video of the creation.

Where to Meet Rapunzel

Put down the frying pan and find Rapunzel at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom. Princess Fairytale Hall has two lines, one is for meeting Cinderella and a princess friend, often Elena of Avalor. The other line is to meet Tiana and Rapunzel. Rapunzel has also been spotted at Cinderella’s Royal Table character meal.

Fashionable Fact: Rapunzel was the first character Leslie Kay, the creator of DisneyBound, bounded. In her book DisneyBound: Dress Disney and Make it Fashion, Leslie shared she was excited for an upcoming Disney trip and thought “What would Rapunzel wear if she were a girl just like me?”

Sometimes you can find exclusive merchandise featuring films and characters in their related EPCOT pavilions. For example, Rapunzel in Germany, Belle and Aurora in France, and of course Elsa and Anna in Norway.

Where to Meet Snow White

Snow White has my favorite character meal. Not only does Story Book Dining at Artist Point in Wilderness Lodge have food and drinks themed to the film, you can also meet Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen. A princess, her sidekicks, and her villain in one place? Yes, please!

Snow White can also be found near her wishing well in the Germany pavilion at EPCOT and is sometimes spotted dancing around the Cinderella Royal Table and Princess Storybook Dining at EPCOT character meals.

Fact to Make You Whistle: Story Book Dining is currently the only place a princess is around her villain. Try to get a seat near the Evil Queen’s meet location and you may see her sneer at Snow White, glare at Grumpy and show her disdain for Dopey.

Where to Meet Tiana

Tiana is in Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom with Rapunzel, two ladies who know how to wield kitchenware. Like the other princesses, she has a portrait in the hallway that’s not to be missed.

Digging a Little Deeper Fact: When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens, Tiana will be the only princess with a thrilling water ride at a US Disney park. This ride will also take riders into the continuation of Tiana’s story from the film The Princess and the Frog.
